2019 Holiday Decorations in the Library

This is a close up of holiday decorations in the White House Library taken by Matthew DAgostino during a press preview on December 1, 2019. The room in the library were dedicated to presidential legacies, featuring trees trimmed with official White House Christmas Ornaments that honor different administrations. The tree pictured in this photograph was decorated with the 2019 Official White House Ornament honoring the President Dwight D. Eisenhower's contributions to the White House. The Official White House Ornament is an annual tradition of the White House Historical Association. The holiday theme for 2019 was The Spirit of America, which recognized the United States' rich history and traditions. Designed by First Lady Melania Trump, the White House decorations paid tribute to the individuals who have shaped the country and kept the American spirit alive, drawing inspiration from the hard working people and families Mrs. Trump met on her travels as first lady.
